Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco Face Off

Brought to You by Three Rivers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

The Jeep Wrangler has been crawling over rocks as the king of off-roading for years. Each and every model year, Jeep enhances the Wrangler’s capabilities and cabin to make it better than ever before. Ford is trying to shake up the off-roading SUV segment with the re-introduction of the Bronco after decades of absence. There is simply no way that the Bronco will ever be able to keep up with the Wrangler though. Keep reading below as we break down why the Wrangler is light years ahead of the Bronco!

Brand Heritage

The Wrangler has been on the market, dominating trails and the highway, for nearly 80 years. Recognized around the world, the Wrangler is iconic and it has never missed a model year. This has allowed the brand to listen to customers who drive the Wrangler day after day and add features and engine options that cater to what they want and need. The Ford Bronco cannot say the same. The Bronco is a resurrected nameplate that hasn't seen the light of day for more than 20 years and it hasn’t given drivers the option to learn what they want and need.

Segment-Exclusive Solid Front Axle

Off-roaders love the Wrangler’s solid front axle design compared to an independent front suspension which the Bronco utilizes. The solid front axle design is the better option for a number of reasons. It maintains a more stable ground clearance, provides more articulation, easier and less expensive to modify, and they are generally more rugged and durable.

The Fold-Down Windshield

Both the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco offer their off-roading SUVs with open-air freedom as well as removable roof and door options. However, only the Wrangler takes open-air freedom to the next level with a fold-down windshield. This full open-air experience lets the driver and passenger travel in a whole new way, bringing the great outdoors directly into the cabin.

Jeep Wave Membership

Everyone knows about the Jeep wave. Wrangler drivers throw up a wave to all other Wrangler drivers on the road to be part of the community that Jeep has created. But the Jeep Wave has become so much more. It is now a two-year membership that includes $1,000 trip interruption coverage, first-day rental allowance, and complimentary maintenance. The Bronco doesn’t offer anything like that!
