Charger Performance Lineup for 2019

The Dodge Charger has always been impressive when it comes to attitude, style, and the engine lineup. Every Charger has been expertly crafted, and it maintains an iconic yet modern look that is hard to miss. Every model year, the Charger only gets better, so it's no surprise that in 2019, the Charger is laying it all on the table. Dodge continues that tradition of the engine lineup by offering a long list of engine options that are available with different trim levels. Each of the engines that we are going to go over are extremely powerful, and help propel the Charger not just in daily use, but in any instances where you might need a performance-leader. To learn more about these engine options with the 2019 Dodge Charger, continue reading down below!

Charger SXT:
The first engine comes with the base trim level called the SXT. This engine is the well-known and iconic Pentastar 3.6-liter V6. This engine generated up to 260 pound-feet of torque and 292 horsepower, while connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. To further enhance this engine there are features like electronic stability control, cruise control, and remote start.

Charger GT:
The same engine, the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6, comes with the GT trim level. The biggest differences come in the power department, where the GT can push out 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. This Charger also comes in rear-wheel drive, which truly makes it stand out in the lineup. A few other enhancements include a performance hood, enhanced steering with paddle shifters, a standard performance suspension, and a 3.07 rear axle ratio.

Charger SXT AWD:
This model is brand new for the 2019 model year, but it stays consistent by coming with the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine. The same TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission comes with it, along with 300 hp and 264 pound-feet of torque. The biggest difference comes with the all-wheel drive system that works with a front-axle disconnect and an active transfer case. Those help to minimize powertrain parasitic losses.

Charger R/T:
Power is stepped up a notch with the R/T trim. This engine is a HEMI 5.7-liter V8, and it can pump out 395 pound-feet of torque and 370 horsepower. The reliable TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission is also paired to this engine. To contribute to the performance, there are sculpted side sills, a spoiler, a performance hood, and a fascia. You'll also get a 2.62 rear axle ratio, a standard performance suspension, a steering wheel with paddle shifters, and enhanced steering.

Charger R/T Scat Pack:
The R/T Scat Pack is powered by a naturally aspirated engine, a 392 HEMI V8. That engine can create up to 475 pound-feet of torque and 485 horsepower. Other performance features include Launch Assist and Line Lock, which help to control and coordinate the driveline, transmission, and engine for a constant acceleration. You'll also be getting a performance grille with dual air inlets.

Charger SRT Hellcat:
The last trim is the SRT Hellcat. It comes standard with a supercharged HEMI 6.2-liter V8. This engine can produce up to 650 pound-feet of torque and 707 horsepower. Like the other engines, it comes combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission which gives you steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. Other performance features include Torque Reserve, After-Run Chiller, Line Lock, and Launch Assist.
