There are three available engines for the Jeep Cherokee, and no matter which one you go with, you will be assured a ton of power that will suit all of your needs. The default engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. More powerful engines are available as you move forward up the trim lineup. Stating with the Latitude Lux, you have the option of either a 3.2-liter V6 with 271 horsepower and 239 lb-ft of torque or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out a spectacular 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is standard on the first couple of trims of the Cherokee, while all-wheel-drive is optional. On the higher trims, such as the Limited and the Trailhawk, all-wheel-drive comes standard! 

Now that we have discussed the power options that are available for the Cherokee let's get into all of the features! On the base trim level Altitude, you have several wonderful items that come standard, including cloth/premium vinyl seats, air conditioning, cruise control, dual USB ports, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and LED lighting. On top of all of this, the Cherokee is also an incredibly safe vehicle as numerous standard safety items are available, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Then there is the tech! The Cherokee comes loaded with tech, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

While the base trim level comes loaded with available features, it only scratches the surface of what the Cherokee offers. Let's first take a look at the Lattice Lux trim, which is aptly named as it comes with several luxury items such as leather seats, a 115V power outlet, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch TFT color display in the gauge cluster, a power liftgate, and a universal garage door opener. New to the Cherokee lineup this year is the X trim which has Active Drive I AWD system with Selec-Terrain for those who are just beginning their off-roading life. This trim also comes with an appearance package that has unique cloth seats. For those extreme off-roaders, there is the Trailhawk trim which comes with unique wheels, a black hood decal, available skid plates, and red tow hooks. Additional features include off-road suspension, heavy-duty engine cooling, the Active Drive II AWD system with a 2-speed transfer case, all-terrain tires, hill descent control, and Selec-Speed control. Topping the range is the Limited, which is one of the most luxurious trims ever created as it has a sunroof, leather seats, Alpine premium audio, and more tech features like adaptive cruise control, side distance warning, and automatic high beams. You can also opt for the Elite package, which doubles down on the luxury items with 19-inch wheels, chrome tow hooks, navigation, sliding second-row seats, heated back seats, a hands-free power liftgate, HD Radio, cooled front seats, and more!
