Can you talk about the Ram 1500's features?
There are six Ram 1500 trim levels to choose from in the 2020 model year. The base model, called the Tradesman, comes outfitted with features like a six-speaker sound system, a 5” touchscreen, keyless entry and ignition, trailer sway damping, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, second-row in-floor storage, and more! The upper trim levels build on that with features like an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen, fog lights, an electronic locking rear axle, skid plates, larger wheels, leather-upholstery, driver-assistance features, a spray-in bedliner, power rear window, and so much more! There are also a host of appearance packages available like the Built to Serve, Black Edition, and the Night Edition.
What kind of engine options are offered for the 1500?
Drivers will find one of three engines under the hood of the 2020 Ram 1500! The base engine, trusted to power many 1500 models for years, is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet. Ram boosts this engine’s torque and fuel economy with the addition of eTorque mild-hybrid technology which utilizes a motor-generator and a 48-volt battery pack. The available 5.7-liter V8 engine, creating 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, can be had both with and without the eTorque system. The last engine found under the hood, a new addition, is a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel. This engine pumps out 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. All engine options are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive. Four-wheel drive is available for all models and engine options except the Rebel where it is standard.
What about the safety features?
From the worksite to the highway, safety is a top priority. The Ram 1500 is ready for anything with over 100 available safety and security features and equipment to protect the driver and passengers! Every 1500 model comes outfitted with six standard airbags, acting as an additional layer of protection in the event of a collision. The front airbags boast adaptive venting technology which helps the bag adapt to both the severity of the collision and the occupant’s size. Other safety features include an available 360-degree Surround View Camera, Lane Departure Warning-Plus, Blindspot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection, and available Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist.
