2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Revealed

If you are already missing the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, then Dodge is here with a new model option to fill the void. Dodge is launching the most powerful SRT Hellcat lineup ever, and it includes the SRT Hellcat Redeye, which is the quickest, fastest, and most powerful muscle-car. The Hellcat Redeye has a V8 engine that creates 707 lb-ft of torque and 797 horsepower, along with being able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. That makes it the quickest production muscle car. Dodge knows how well-received the SRT Demon was, and they are continuing the legacy of that model by giving you the SRT Hellcat lineup that feels like a worthy successor. Continue reading down below to learn more about what Dodge is bringing to the SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Can you tell me about how powerful the SRT Hellcat Redeye is?

The engine used in the Redeye comes from the SRT Demon. That engine is a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI high-output V8, generating 707 pound-feet of torque and 797 horsepower. This engine is paired with an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. There are twenty-five major component upgrades with this engine, including an improved lubrication system, a fuel injection system, high-speed valve train, strengthened connecting rods and pistons, and a larger supercharger. There is a large difference between the Hellcat engine and the engine in the Redeye. The Redeye gives you the largest factory supercharger, two dual-stage fuel pumps, three sources of intake air (inlet near the wheel liner, driver-side air catcher headlamp, dual-snorkel hood), an increase in the boost pressure, and a higher rpm limit. Additional features that were taken straight from the Demon include 41-spline half shafts, high-strength steel prop shafts, SRT Power Chiller and After-Run Chiller, and Torque Reserve. The top speed of the Redeye is 203 miles per hour.

What technology comes with the SRT Hellcat Redeye?

Every single SRT Hellcat model, including the Redeye, comes loaded with a long list of standard performance features. These technology features include SRT Performance Pages, SRT Drive Modes, a larger induction air box, Line Lock, Launch Control, Torque Reserve, Launch Assist, electric power steering, a braking system, and adaptive damping suspension. Launch Assist is a technology that many Challenger fans will remember from the SRT Demon. This system helps to provide clean launches by combating wheel hop. If a hop is detected the engine control module is able to reduce torque and maximize traction. This happens without the driver having to even touch the throttle. This system has a reduction of the load in the driveline by wheel hop of around 20%.

What can I expect the interior of the Redeye to look like?

Performance is not the only important aspect of a muscle car like the Redeye. The interior is vital to giving off the right appearance, and to set the tone for the rest of the vehicle. The entirety of the SRT Hellcat lineup comes standard with Houndstooth cloth performance seats. You'll also find a 7-inch display screen that flanks a 200-mpg speedometer, paddle shifters, and a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with a backlit SRT logo. The Redeye has several interior features that are unique to this model only. Those features include an SRT Hellcat Redeye logo on key fobs, Light Black Chrome instrument panel badge with SRT Hellcat Redeye logo, SRT Hellcat Redeye logo splash screen, and a 220-mph red speedometer.
