New 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at Three Rivers for Pittsburgh, PA
This Jeep is the go-to brand and hallmark icon for off-roading and is usually seen traversing over rocky boulders with glee. The 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is in a class of its own, and in 2016, enters as a four-door five-seater. The new for 2016 Black Bear Special Edition comes with black 17-inch wheels, unique decals, and blackened grille, and more. Also the Sahara edition has some minor updates inside and out, but nothing that would interfere with this popular and thoroughly-tested vehicle.
Under the Wrangler Unlimited's Hood
This mountain lion of a V-6 engine roars in at 285-hp with 260 lb-ft torque (standard), paired with either a 6-speed manual w/OD, or a 5-speed automatic w/OD with auto-manual. Four-wheel drive is standard. There is a variable amount of approach (best-in-class at 42.2 degrees) and departure angles to study before you pick, but all are designed to get you there. There are two different 4x4 systems to wrestle down here, but both excellent at what they do. The standard Command-Trac NV241 is great in the winter conditions, but not far behind is the Rock-Trac system with more torque and a 4:1 low-gear ratio. There is a sway bar disconnect system available that compresses the front wheels up to 25 percent further! Towing 3500 pounds (or under) is possible, with optional Trailer Sway Control to help with overall driving and control.
